6.00

Ran the College Blvd loop this morning at an average 7:35/mi average after yesterdays hard CrossFit workout. Not to bad considering the first mile was at 8:20. It took that long for my body to shake out some of the stiffness from yesterday's workout and then by time I was done and back home stretching the legs were a little tired and stiff. Did some stretching and the left hip was pretty stiff. Nothing injured just stiff and tired.

What distance are you running at the alumni race? Are you going to train specifically for it?

The SDSU Classic is the home meet that South Dakota State always has and for the last 12 years they have been fielding an Alumni team to compete in the meet against the college kids. 2 years ago when I did it the Alumni team took 4th out of 8-10 teams. I did not help to much in that scoring since I only beat around 4 College kids but hopefully this year I can improve on that at age 33. I will run probably some half and mile repeats to get my fitness up and then just put in mileage at a decent rate to prepare for this meet. Other then that nothing really special.
